Kashmira Singh warns against ‘oppressive’ policy of Govt

JAMMU, Aug 26: Former MLA and senior National Conference leader, Thakur Kashmira Singh has ridiculed the Governor’s administration for curtailing the civil right of people of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement, he said that leaders of political parties, including sitting MPs and former Chief Ministers are under detention or house arrest for no reasons, which is undemocratic and illegal.
He appealed the Government not to deprive people of their democratic rights and demanded release of all the political leaders. “Enough is enough. The corrosive policy of the administration would boomerang if such a situation prolongs and the Government will be responsible for the same, he warned.
