JAMMU, Apr 9: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) president, Desh Rattan Pandita has flayed political parties who he said never took any step to ameliorate the lot of displaced Pandits from the Valley when in power since the community’s mass exodus in 1990 are visiting the camps and non camp areas during the time of elections promising Moon.
He said continuously since 1947, these political parties have made mockery with Pandits’ and this mockery is continuing till date. Some sycophants of these parties who are arranging their programs in migrant camps are also making dramas and they are working for their personal interests and not for the community interests. Rattan said these parties have never worked for KPs cause and did not take sincere steps for their return and rehabilitation in Valley but instead made a hue and cry when last time the Modi Government had proposed carving out of township for their (Pandits) rehabilitation in Valley.
He said KPs have no interest to vote for Kashmir based parties. AIMCCC chief urged the Governor to take his organization into confidence while taking any decision on the KPs rehabilitation. Ratten added that GoI should probe the properties of Kashmir centric parties and leaders who after joining the politics made mansions and amassed huge wealth while before joining politics they were like a common man of Kashmir. They looted the nation and the people which was also one of the cause of terrorism in the Valley, he added.
