JAMMU, Dec 2: Former Assistant Secretary USA and candidate for the California Governor, Neel Kashkari interacted with KP diaspora all over globe through Radio Sharda 90.4 FM community Radio.
The interaction was organized by Kashmir Overseas Association (KOA) in collaboration with Radio Sharda which terms it another milestone for itself.
The purpose for arranging this interaction for displaced Pandits diaspora around the globe was how to face the challenges in displacement and attract the attention of intellectuals and industrialists for creation of Sharda University.
Mr Kashkari has distinction to manage to oversee bank Bailouts in USA in 2008. While replying to various questions Kashkari laid stress on education and economic growth as the basis for the development of the community. He advised the youth to be focused on job they are doing and don’t be afraid to face challenges as it helps to achieve their goals quickly.
Kashkari, who started his carrier as design engineer in one of the questions advised the youth that they should not be after the money only, but render their services for the development of their country and upliftment of people. “If you don’t change the circumstance just try to control the factors which lead to creation of such circumstances”, he added.
He advised the community to lay more emphasis towards the education as it will only help them to achieve their goal and to contribute more precisely towards their country and people.
The 90 minute interaction was live on Radio Sharda and was supervised by its Founder Director Ramesh Hangloo. Raj Kumar and Ranish Hangloo were providing all technical support to make broadcast globally possible.
Earlier in his address president KoA Dr Surender Koul laid emphasis on the importance of education in KP community. He said the Valley of Kashmir was called as Sharda Peeth and Kashmiri Pandits have made a great contribution in every filed of life and humanity from last 5000 years.
The others who participated in the interaction included Ajay Tickoo secretary, KOA, Dr Prince Koul, Jeevan Zuthsi, Rakesh Koul and Prediman Tickoo.
