KARGIL, Dec 18: Under the guidance of Dr. Vinod Kumar, Superintendent of Police Kargil, District Police today held recruitment rally of the candidates who had applied for 200 posts of SPOs residing within 0-10 Kilometers from Border (LoC/IB/ALC/AGPL).
The recruitment rally was held at Khree Sultan Cho, Sports Stadium Bemathang Kargil. The event witnessed overwhelming response and hundreds of candidates had applied for the posts.
The test included Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Endurance Test (PET). Day one of the recruitment was reserved for female candidates only. The four day long recruitment drive ended today, Dr Kumar said.
“The recruitment process is a step towards social inclusion of people residing in border areas and to provide opportunity to youth of these areas to join Police force and serve the country. The entire process took place in fair and transparent way,” the SSP said.
The recruitment process was carried by the committee constituted under the chairmanship of Dr. Vinod Kumar, with Sonam Chosjor, Additional Deputy Commissioner Kargil, Syeed Mujahid-Ul-Haq, Dy. SP Hqrs. Kargil, Rigzin Sangdup, Dy. SP DAR Kargil and Nawang Norboo, Senior PO Kargil as its members.
