Kailash Choudhary for doubling J&K farmers income through diversification of crops

 

JAMMU: Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare Kailash Choudhary on Wednesday asked the Agriculture research scientists to facilitate farmers to double their income by taking technology from Lab to Land.

Mr Choudhary was interacting with Agriculture experts and scientists during his visit to Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology-Jammu (SKUAST-J).

He visited campuses of Faculty of Veterinary Sciences & Animal Husbandry, Krishi Vigyan Kendra, R S Pura and Faculty of Agriculture, Chatha and laid emphasis on taking technology from lab to land, diversification through integrating farming system and impact analysis of the programmes conducted by the Krishi Vigyan Kendras.
