JWAM leader meets DGP, raises harassment issue

JAMMU, May 29: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) leader, Sunil Dimple called upon Director General of Police, Dilbag Singh and apprised him about the alleged harassment to public by cops in the name of traffic problems.
Dimple alleged that citing traffic violations, police and Flying Squads are harassing public, school-college students and others on every roads of Jammu city.
He also said that traffic police and Flying Squads remain busy in challaning and seizing vehicles but do nothing for traffic management.
The DGP gave a patient hearing, assured Sunil Dimple that the necessary action will be taken and directions in this regard will be passed to all the concerned and no unnecessary harassment will be caused to anyone.
After this, Dimple staged a protest demonstration demanding ring road connecting Amphalla-Manda-Janipur upto Akhnoor and metro train facility.
Manjit Anand, Sachin Soi, Chuni Lal Bhat, Anil Abrol Rajesh Tall and others were also present in the protest.
