JAMMU, July 11: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held a Tiranga rally in support of the brave security forces jawans who sacrificed their lives in attack on the Srinagar Airport besides injuries to more than 100 jawans by the Pakistan agents’ grenade attacks.
Sunil Dimple, JWAM president, addressing the rally criticised Pak agents, separatists Hurriyat leaders and burnt effigies and flags of Pakistan for making the people hostage by creating violence in the Valley.
He demanded that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister, Rajnath Singh should immediately visit the State, personally review the situation and ensure resumption of Amarnath Yatra. He added that militancy in the State has escalated due to failure of BJP-PDP Coalition Government and urged for safety and security to the Amarnath pilgrims.
He warned the separatist leaders to stay away from the Yatra as it is the symbol of communal harmony and brother hood and conveys the message of unity and integrity of the country from Kashmir to Kanya Kumari.
He appealed the people of the State, traders, transporters, NGOs and all socio-political parties to extend their full support to the Amarnath pilgrims as this is the prestige of the State and particularly of the Jammu region.
He demanded withdrawal of the security of the Hurriyat leaders and arrest them as they have held the entire Kashmir valley their hostage.
