JAMMU, July 13: Jammu West Assembly Movement today held a protest over stoppage of Amarnath Yatra in the wake of separatist-sponsored strike in Kashmir valley on Martyr’s Day and warned of ‘Jammu Band’ if Yatra is stopped again in future.
In the protest, which was led by JWAM president, Sunil Dimple, the protesting people burnt the flags of Pakistan as well as effigies of its Prime Minister Imran Khan for continues ceasefire violation on the LoC in Poonch, Rajouri and for shielding the dreaded militants Azahar Masood and Hafeez Sayeed.
Stating that separatist leaders and Hurriyat are creating hurdles in the Amarnath Yatra, protesters demanded arrest of Mirwaiz Omar Farooq and Geelani by NIA for the anti national and terror activities in Jammu.
Addressing the protesters, Sunil Dimple expressed serious concern over the halt of Holy Amarnath Yatra. He strongly criticized PDP, Mehbooba Mufti and Kashmiri leaders’ statements on the Amarnath Yatra and accused them for playing politics on highway restrictions to create hurdles in the Yatra route.
He warned Kashmiri leader that if any untoward incident happened with the pilgrims or with the Langer organizers, it will have reciprocated reaction throughout the country. Dimple said halt of Amarnath Yatra under the shadow of militancy, separatists terror will not be tolerated in future. He warned of ‘Jammu Band’ if Yatra is halted again in future.
