JAMMU, Mar 29: The activists of Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) held a protest demonstration alleging no supply of ration for the last three months on the ration depots, cancelation and for not issuance of the large number of the ration cards.
Led by Sunil Dimple, JWAM president, the protest was held against the Union CAPD Ministry for giving wheat in place of atta to the people, while there was no supply of kerosene oil, sugar and atta on the ration depots and held that there was no proper implementation of the NFS Act in the State.
Addressing the protesters, Dimple urged upon the Governor N N Vohra to stop the implementation of National Food Security Act which has put people of the State in great trouble.
Dimple alleged that many genuine ration cards have been cancelled and authorities are not issuing cards to those who are permanent residents of the State.
