JAMMU, Aug 12: Jammu West Assembly Movement (JWAM) has demanded that PM Modi should announce statehood with special status to J&K on August 15 in his Independent Day speech.
In a press conference here today JWAM leader, Sunil Dimple claimed that J&K has lost everything after it was allegedly demoted to Union Territory and its special status was abrogated.
He claimed that BJP leaders distributing Domicile Certificates at homes are spoiling the careers of unemployed youths and future generations.
Dimple urged upon LG, Manoj Sinha to withdraw Domicile Law and ensure that government jobs in J&K are only given to State Subject holders.
He also demanded restoration of 4G internet services in all the ten districts of Jammu region.
He said Domicile Certificate also makes outsiders eligible for government jobs and for admission in professional colleges in J&K.
