JAMMU, Nov 16: Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey who is also, Chairman High Court Legal Services Committee/ Chairman Juvenile Justice Committee accompanied by Abdul Nasir, Secretary, High Court Legal Services committee today visited District Jail, Jammu.
During the visit, details of jail inmates i.e. convicts, condemned, under trials, detenues under common law/militancy related were inspected.
On the spot instructions were issued for providing Legal aid services to the convicts/ under trials desirous of seeking such service.
The Jail authorities were directed to monitor the cases of jail inmates attended by Legal Aid Retainer/ Panel lawyers. The facilities being provided to the jail inmates were also inspected by the high-level team of judiciary.
Justice Magrey also enquired about any juvenile detained in the jail. However, no such case was found with respect to the District jail Jammu.
