JUIT announces 20% rebate in tuition fees

JAMMU, Aug 24: In a first of its kind by any Government and Private University, the Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, Solan has announced a rebate of 20 per cent in tuition fees for the academic year 2020-21 across all programs and including new admissions.
This is termed as ‘Special COVID Relief Package.’
The JUIT is established by Jaiprakash Sewa Sansthan, a not for profit charitable trust and the current announcement is made keeping the financial hardships being faced by parents of students due to corona pandemic.
With effect from the past year, the JUIT has also introduced reservation of 10 per cent seats in new admissions and reduction in tuition fees by 30 per cent for wards of serving and retired armed forces and paramilitary forces personnel.
For wards of war widows or persons disabled in war this concession is 35 percent.
