Jugal lays foundation stone of Bardoh-Dhakher bridge in Chamb constituency

JAMMU, Sept 2: Jugal Kishore Sharma, BJP Member Lok Sabha from Jammu Poonch Parliamentary Constituency along with Ex MLA, Chamb Constituency, Dr Krishan Lal Bhagat, Ex MLA Akhnoor, Rajeev Sharma & senior leader BJP visited village Bardoh and laid foundation stone for construction of Bardoh Dhakher bridge under Central Road Funds (CRF) in Chamb Constituency.
Jugal Kishore Sharma, while addressing the gathering said that river Manawer which is flowing in Chamb constituency and Panchayat Bardoh & adjoining border area creates havoc during Monsoon when in spate. The bridge was the genuine demand of inhabitants of the area and students have to cross the Manawer river on boat to go school to carry on their studies. He said that Bardoh -Dhakher bridge is funded under Central Road Funds at an estimated cost of Rs 14.50 crore and stretched over span of 225 meters.
The double lane bridge after completion in 2020 will provide major connectivity to the large border area and also help the students to move on their schools on bridge, he added.
Jugal said that Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and Nitin Gadkari Union Minister of Road and Highways have made a great achievement to connect urban as well as rural parts of the country and complimented them for giving nod to this project under Central Road Funds.
He also addressed the gathering present in the public meeting organized by West Pakistan Refugee Action Committee to celebrate the Abrogation of Article 370 & 35A from J&K State. He said that West Pakistan Refugees are not refugees now and they are Indian citizens now. He congratulated them on this great decision as they will now enjoy their fundamental rights for which they were fighting for last over 70 years as they were ignored by previous Congress & NC,PDP led Governments.
Labha Ram Gandhi, president WPR AC with his team welcomed Member of Parliament on his arrival in Khour and also organized bike rally on the occasion.
Executive Engineer, PWD, Vikram Singh along with team,State media secretary, BJP Suraj Singh,State president, SC Morcha, Jagdish Bhagat, district president, BJP Manmohan Singh with Mandal president, Ghasita Ram & Team,Sarpanches and Panches present at the occasion thanked Member of Parliament for putting great efforts and congratulated him & people of the area on starting the construction work of road & bridge.
