Jugal, Ganga lay foundation stone for Rs 18 cr road in Vijaypur Constituency

JAMMU, Aug 25: The construction work on Rs. 18 crore Vijaypur to S.M.Pur road today started with Member Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma laying foundation stone for this prestigious project.
Former Minister, Member Legislative Assembly, Vijaypur Constituency, Chander Prakash Ganga, was also present on the occasion.
“The Jammu and Kashmir State has for the first time got a number of roads sanctioned under CRF, during Modi Government, and the Vijaypur Constituency alone has got Rs. 100 crore under the scheme so far”, the MP maintained.
MP, said that construction of this 15 km road will benefit more than 50,000 souls as 80 percent of the population of Vijaypur Constituency depends on this stretch for their economic, social and cultural activities.
The MP expressed hope that the road would be completed in the next 6 months if the weather disturbance doesn’t occur in the construction work. He asked the executing agencies to take special care of qualitative and quantitative parameters in the construction work.
Ganga expressed gratitude to MP Jugal Kishore Sharma for his contribution and support in getting this mega road project for Vijaypur Constituency. He said that he is determined to get funds worth Rs. 25 crore for his Constituency under CRF in the next year and hoped for similar support from the MP in this regard.
Terming road network as lifeline for an area, the MLA said that it is a matter of great satisfaction and contentment that my Constituency has received good funding from the Centre on this account resulting into expansion of link and main roads to every part.
He said that about 300 km roads have been constructed in the Samba district under CRF which speaks about the volumes of progress achieved in this regard so far.
Ganga, while lashing out at the corrupt practices and mis-governance of the previous regimes, said that it is an irony that they were not even aware about the existence of CRF.
Later, the MP and the MLA led a massive party rally from Vijaypur to Ramgarh followed by a mammoth public Jalsa at Ramgarh.
Ganga, while addressing mammoth gathering of BJP workers and locals, highlighted the programmes and policies of BJP besides elucidating achievements of Modi Government on all fronts. He exhorted upon the workers to visit every household of their respective areas to make the people aware about all the schemes and endeavours of Modi Government.
Referring to revocation of Article 35-A, the MLA dismayed over the irresponsible statements by NC and other groups saying that it shows the intensity of their concern for people of the State.
