KUPWARA, July 28: According to Chairman, District Legal Services Authority, Kupwara, a Judicial Core Group has been constituted in terms of NALSA scheme for ‘legal services to victims hit by cloudburst’.
The Core Group will coordinate with the District Administration for timely evacuation, shifting of victims to temporary shelters (relief camps) and ensuring smooth distribution of relief to the victims in their jurisdictions.
The Judicial Core Group is headed by the Judicial Officer, who is also the Sub Judge, Kupwara and assisted by 16 members from district and tehsil administrations. The Core Group has been asked to visit the spot for redressal of grievances of victims and submit daily report to Principal, District and Sessions Judge, who is also the Chairman, District Legal Services Authority Kupwara for further action.
