DEWAS, MP, June 26:
A local court has acquitted a judge who was dismissed for allegedly demanding dowry from his in-laws during his marriage ceremony.
Judicial Magistrate Rakesh Kumar Sharma acquitted Shahdol-resident Inder Singh Malviya yesterday.
According to prosecution, Malviya—who was supposed to marry Monika Solanki, a resident of Adarsh Nagar here—allegedly involved in a brawl with the groom’s relatives after demanding Rs 1 lakh and a car as dowry while marriage ceremony was taking place on December 1, 2010. (UNI)
