JU VC releases Dogri book

JAMMU, Mar 20: A Dogri book, titled “Dogri Ch Vartman Shodh Chintan”, compiled and edited by Parduman Singh, a Research Scholar of PG Department of Dogri, University of Jammu, was released here today by the JU Vice-Chancellor Prof Manoj K Dhar.
The book contain 26 research papers contributed by Research scholars of Dogri Department on different genre based on Lok Geet, Lok Viswas, Lok Sanskriti, Dogri Kavita, Dogri Kahani, Natak and Upanyas, etc.
While speaking on the occasion, Prof Dhar appreciated the effort of Parduman Singh for this valuable book. He said that this kind of activity augers very well for growth and popularity of Dogri literature. He laid stress on the need of making Dogri popular among the younger generation, so that this sweet language may continue to thrive.
Among others, Dr Meenakshi Kilam, Registrar; Prof Shiv Dev Singh Manhas, Dr Daud Iqbal, Director, Physical Education; Dr Vinay Thusoo, Official Spokesperson, JU; Dr Neetu Kumar, Asstt. Professor, Dr Sunil Dutt Sharma, Dr Manoj Heer, Kailash Mohan Bhanotra, Jyoti Thappa, Anu Devi and Satish Arora were also present on the occasion.
