SRINAGAR, Oct 4: To discuss the financial, academic and allied matters recommended by the Finance Committee and the Academic Council of the University of Jammu and approve the same, the meeting of JU Syndicate would be held here tomorrow.
“It is a routine meeting before the JU Council Meeting to be held on October 18 and there is no specific agenda. The meeting will discuss the matters with regard to Syllabi of various departments recommended by the Academic Council of the University as also the budget recommended by the Finance Committee,” said one of the Syndicate members.
The meeting would be chaired by Prof Mohan Paul Singh Ishar, Vice Chancellor, Jammu University and among others would be attended by Commissioner Secretary Finance, Iqbal Khandey.
It is pertinent to mention here that JU Syndicate is this time meeting at Srinagar because the ‘Darbar’ is presently in the Summer Capital.
Prominent among others to attend the meeting include Dr RD Sharma, Department of Commerce, Dr Jigar Mohd, Department of History, Prof Desh Bandhu, Dean, Business Studies, Geeta Sumbli, Department of Botany and Prof Kuldeep Sharma, HoD zoology.
