JU releases cut off lists for fresh admissions

JAMMU, July 20: Various Post Graduation Departments in Jammu University today released their first cut off merit lists for fresh admissions.
Despite bad weather and rains, a large number of admission seekers had thronged the campus to know about their status in the first cut off lists, which were displayed in the respective departments.
Department of Physics registered more than 72 percent cut off for admission while the lowest merit in Chemistry and Electronics departments was 71.68 and 67.3, respectively.
Similarly in the Department of Botany, the cut off merit was 73.59 percent while the cut off percentage for History, Home Science and Hindi remained 65.74, 45.80 and 44.48, respectively.
Because of some technical snag, the cut off lists in a few departments were released in the late afternoon.
The selected candidates will have two days for taking admission in the respective department while second cut off and category lists will be released on July 22.
