JU Law School celebrates International Human Rights Day

JAMMU, Dec 9: In connection with the celebrations of Human Rights Day, a symposium was organised by The Law School, University of Jammu on the topic “Promoting and Deepening Human Rights Culture in the Society”
Prof K L Bhatia former Dean, HoD, Director & Founder of The Law School was the key note speaker. He dwelled upon many provisions of the constitutional law of India and United Nations charter and gave a clear picture and meaningful assessment of various related concepts and correlated them with other areas and laws of other nations also.
Dr Sanjay Gupta, Associate Professor, Department of Law also spoke on the occasions.
Earlier, welcome note was presented by Dr Satinder Kumar, Director, The law School JU, who shared his views on the topic and threw light on the relevance and importance of the International Human Rights Day.
The event, organised by Dr Monica Narang, Senior Assistant Professor of The Law Schòol, was coordinated by Dr Monika Bhardwaj and Dr Upasana Sharma and was attended by the faculty members of the law school and Department of Law.
The speakers on the occasion were students and scholars from the Law School as well as from other departments, namely Ratul, Wasif, Astha, Syed Sana, Avnee, Parvana, Seher and Aniket. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr Monica Narang.
