JU conducts weeklong lecture series

JAMMU, May 26: The University of Jammu’s Department of Computer Science collaborated with M/s Sedulity Solutions and Technologies, New Delhi, to conduct a weeklong lecture series from May 22nd to 26th, 2023.
As per a statement, the initiative, led by Prof Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, aimed to foster academia-industry cooperation.
Prof Rahul Gupta, Dean of Mathematical Sciences and Rector, Bhaderwah campus, University of Jammu, attended the valedictory session as Chief Guest.
Prof Gupta praised the department’s efforts in organizing such events, highlighting their significance under the National Education Policy, 2022.
Prof Pawanesh Abrol, Head of the Department, discussed recent initiatives and the importance of providing students exposure to high-end technologies.
An MoU was signed between the University of Jammu and M/s Sedulity Solutions Technologies, facilitating infrastructure improvement and expert-student interactions.
Dr Anup Girdhar, CEO of Sedulity Solutions and Technologies, delivered lectures on Cyber Security, including practical demonstrations and research approaches.
Dr Vinod Sharma emphasized the need for students to stay updated with the latest tools and technologies.
Dr Lalit Sen Sharma shared details of the collaborative course, and the vote of thanks was presented by Dr Palak Mahajan.
Attendees included representatives from Sedulity Solutions and Technologies, faculty members, research scholars, and students.
