JAMMU, May 14: Over seven hundred class IV employees and casual labourers in Jammu University resumed their agitation today seeking regularization.
The protesting employees observed a token strike from 10 am to 1 pm and held demonstration near the Old Administration block.
Addressing the gathering, president of Non-Gazetted Employees Union Krishan Chand said that the Jammu University authorities have forced them to resume their stir by not complying to the written agreement with them. The JU authorities neither conceded the demand nor bothered to reply the reminders by the Union in this regard, he lamented.
General secretary Vijay Kumar also addressed the protesting employees and announced to further intensify the token stir in second phase.
