JTC, SKF reiterate relief enhancement demand

JAMMU, Aug 7: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee, Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) and PCC Migrant Cell was held today at Jagti township under the chairmanship of its president and convener of PCC Migrant Cell Shadi Lal Pandita.
Addressing the members Pandita said that due to high inflation, the relief holders are forced to live a very difficult life and they can’t educate their children because they are unable to bear their expensive. He said that due to high inflation the relief holders cannot even buy medicines for the sick and they are also unable to purchase house hold goods of daily use.
The members urged the Government to increase the monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 for per family per month at an earliest.
