RAJOURI, Aug 7: One person was killed while three others injured in a landslide incident in Darhal area of district Rajouri today.
Official sources said that landslide at Simbli village, in Darhal took place during digging of water pipes, in which three persons were trapped under debris. One person was died on spot. He was identified as Mohd Shabir (PHE employee), son of Mohd Azam, resident of Chowkian, Darhal.
Two injured persons have been identified as Shamshir Ahmed, son of Fateh Mohd from Chowkian, also PHE employee and Mohd Shabir, son of Sain Mohd, resident of Simbli, Darhal. They were referred to GMC Rajoujri from local Darhal hospital.
BMO Darhal Sajad Mirza rushed on the spot along with Ambulance, whereas Civil Administration, SHO Darhal along with his team helped in evacuating trapped persons and in shifting body for postmortem at SDH Darhal.
