JTC, SKF protest enters 610th day

JAMMU, July 2: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) protest at Jagti township entered 610th day today in support of their demands.
Addressing the protesters Shadi Lal Pandita, president, JTC and SKF urged the Government to attach the migrant package employees and other Kashmiri Pandit migrant employees in Relief Rehabilitation Office in Jammu.
Pandita said “We are demanding enhancement of monthly cash relief of relief holders from Rs 13,000 to Rs 25,000 per family per month but the State and Central Government is ignoring the demand and forcing the exiled community to hold protest”. He demanded 20,000 jobs for unemployed youth, compensation for property loss of 32 years, pending Ex-gratia relief of gutted houses, compensation to over aged youth, removal of illegal occupation of land properties and religious places be removed in Kashmir Valley.
He further demanded three townships should be set up in Anantnag, Srinagar and Baramulla to resettle Kashmiri Pandits in Kashmir Valley and political reservations in Parliament and Assembly.
