JTC, SKF dharna enters 162nd day

JAMMU, Mar 12 : The protest -dharna launched by Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) at Jagti township entered 162nd day today.
Addressing the protesters, Shadi Lal Pandita, president, JTC , SKF and convener, PCC Migrant Cell J&K said that his organisation has been protesting for five months and twelve days (162 days) now while the State and Centre Government is ignoring the displaced Pandits.
Pandita warned the State and Centre Government that in case they failed to enhance the monthly cash relief of migrants from Rs13, 000 to Rs 25,000 the agitation will be intensified. He demanded that a Government job should be given in those families in which no educated unemployed youth has got a Government Job till date. For this 20,000 employment package should be given and also migrant youth should be recruited in the police, BSF, CRPF and other forces.
Pandita also demanded free ration to the displaced pensioners besides sanctioning of soft bank loans to the over-aged youths without interest, compensation to the community for the property loss suffered by it in last 31 years and reservation of six Assembly seats and three Parliamentary seats or the community.
Strongly demanding the rehabilitation of displaced Pandits in Valley -their motherland Pandita reiterated setting up of three satellite townships in Kashmir Valley for this purpose.
