JAMMU, Dec 9: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) was held here today at Jagti under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president JTC and SKF.
Addressing the meeting Shadi Lal Pandita has expressed his grave concern over the stopping of sugar supplies to migrant relief holders. He said that in addition to ration items one kg sugar was made available to each ration holder under relief category which has been stopped for past few months. This has added to the sufferings of the poor relief holders, He demanded early release of sugar quota in favour of the relief holders. Besides, he also demanded enhancement of migrants monthly relief from Rs.13000 to Rs.25000 immediately.
Pandita has further said that the migrant Government employees were availing facility of procuring ration from Government ration depots against the ration cards supplied to them on payment but it is strange that rations supplies to Government employees ration card holders has been stopped which has added to the sufferings of these employees.
