JTC, SKF continue protest

JAMMU, Oct 10: The Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) which is on protest for over a year now today announced to continue the agitation till the demands are met.
After today’s protest a meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee and Soan Kashmir Front was held under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita in which grave concern was expressed over the failure of Government in resolving the long pending demands of the displaced Pandits which included hike in monthly cash relief, announcement of 20,000 new Government jobs, on spot recruitment drive in police and para military forces in camp and non camp areas and carving out of three townships in Srinagar, Anantnag and Baramulla for rehabilitation of displaced Pandits.
The meeting also demanded compensation of 32 years for the losses suffered by KP farmers, orchardists and other business community members. Those who addressed the protestors included M L Razdan, Ravi Koul, Kashi Nath Bhat, Inder Ji Labroo and others.
