JAMMU, Nov 27: Jammu State Morcha (JSM) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president Prof Virender Gupta and strongly endorsed the demand of artists of starting a separate and independent Duggar Channel on the pattern of DD Kashir channel made before the Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Munish Tewari by senior Congress leader Gulchain Singh Charak.
Duggar Pradesh comprising of Jammu province is a land of multiple languages and cultures, he said, adding that various languages are spoken in the region. Variety of cultures existing in Jammu region do not find proper place and get justice in the DD Kashir channel, he said.
The channel if started will go a long way in establishing cultural links with the people of PoJK and of the Punjabi speaking part of Pakistan adjoining Jammu province.
