JAMMU, Mar 29: Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) held protest dharna from 11 am to 2 pm at Jambu Lochan Park, Purani Mandi against the partisan role of State Government in solving unemployment of Jammu youth and discrimination with Jammu province with regard to its overall development.
Various organizations which joined JPPF protest included Amar Kashtriya Rajput Sabha, Brahmin Sabha, Ravi Dass Sabha, Shiv Sena, Shri Ram Sena, Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Associated Chamber of Traders Federation, Transport Welfare Association, NPP Students Union, Rural Women Association, Sikh Forum, PoK Refugees, Panun Kashmir, Snatan Dharam Sabha, Green Eco Forum, Dastak,Kranti Dal, Duggar Pradesh Party, Dogra Kranti Dal, Hind Mazdoor Sabha, All Jammu Hotel and Lodges Association, Kashyap Rajput Sabha, Jammu United Forum, Shia Federation Jammu, Arora Bansh Sabha, BSYS, Sikh Progressive Front, Sangram Sena, Dogra Liberation Front, J&K Muslim Coordination Committee, Dogra KLhatri Sabha, NPP, Purani Mandi Welfare Association, Youth Rajput Sabha, Megh Sudhar Sabha, Young Blood Association, Bus Stand Shopkeepers Association, Mahasha Sabha, NSU, Sikh Intellectual Forum, Sariara Sabha etc.
Speakers stressed on the Government to provide security to Panchayat members, solve PoK refugees problem once for all, provide Unemployment Allowance to educated youth, treating all sick industrial units of the State equally etc.
They also appreciated MLAs especially Harsh Dev Singhh, Balwant Singh Mankotia, Jugal Kishore, Ashok Khajuria, Ashwani Sharma, Sham Lal Sharma, Dr M L Sharma and Congress leaders G M Saroori and Mohd Sharief Niaz as also Ajat Shatru Singh, who raised their voice in State Legislature against discrimination with Jammu.
The meeting also forcefully raised the demand of development of places of tourist interest in Jammu province. They said the JPPF will continue its movement and struggle till its logical conclusion.
