JAMMU, Sept 21: Jammu Province People Forum (JPPF) an amalgam of more than 50 social, commercial and other organizations, a united voice and common platform for the development of Jammu Province, visited the flood affected areas and distributed blankets and other relief materials.
The forum members comprised of working president MS Katoch, Inderjeet Khajuria, Narayan Singh, Gajan Singh, ML Sharma, Amrit Magotra, Avinash Bhatia, Kamla Sharma, PS Slathia, Rajiv Mahajan, Jagdish Sharma, RP Shastri, Pritam Sharma, RL Tandon, Gajan Singh Khalsa and Prof BL Bhardwaj visited Swanjana, Murarpur and Chaura in Marh constituency where the members interacted with the residents of all the villages and listened their problems for settlement of various issues emerged after natural fury. JPPF assured them full assistance for making their life comfortable.
JPPF asked Government to provide full assistance with regard to relief and rehabilitation of the affected people of Jammu district, Udhampur Constituency, Poonch and Rajouri.
JPPF is of the opinion that State as well as Central Government is totally focusing on Kashmir and therefore the people of Jammu Province are neglected. This kind of act of the Government is highly condemnable and the Government should act promptly to send the relief and other necessary relief material to all parts of Jammu Province so that any discrimination is avoided.
