JAMMU, Dec 27: On the directions of MD Jammu Power Distribution Corporation Limited (JPDCL), Shiv Anant Tayal, JPDCL Green Belt team led by P.D Singh, Executive Engineer, Electric Division-II, Gandhi Nagar and AEE, Vinod Sharma carried out a massive drive to disconnect illegal connections at Bathindi.
A handout of JPDCL stated that a total of 73 inspections were conducted and 29 defaulters were identified while 16 illegal connections were regularized and 12 heaters and illegal hooks were removed and destroyed.
Various commercial establishments were also inspected during the drive and their meter readings were checked to ensure complete transparency.
People of the area were sensitized towards paying electricity bills so that deficit of power revenue could be increased.
Junior Engineer, Adil Manzoor Butt; Munish Chib, Balwant Raj, Parveen Kumar, Raman Kumar, Vijay Dogra, Kewal Kumar among others participated in the drive.
