JAMMU, Feb 26: The ‘Josh’ among the people in the Winter Capital of the State was very high soon after the reports of air strike in the Pakistan were aired by news channels this morning but the celebrations doubled when Indian authorities confirmed about carrying out a major anti-terror strike against Pakistan based and Pakistan-sponsored group Jaish-e-Mohammad.

The strike has destroyed a key camp run by UN proscribed terrorist Masood Azhar’s kin Maulana Yousuf Azhar, alias Ustad Ghouri.
The people of Jammu were in upbeat mood since morning when they switched on their television sets amid shouts ‘Jai Hind’ and ‘Indian Army Zindabad’.
The social media flooded with greetings and wishes by the people to mark the celebrations with messages like ‘Bharatiya Sena Zindabad’, ‘Indian Air Force Zindabad,.
Filled with enthusiasm and passion, people with smiling faces however, took to streets and congratulated each other asserting, ‘Hamari Sena ne Badla Le Liya’ (our army has taken the revenge of Pulwama terror attack).
Meanwhile, anti-Pakistan protests were also staged across the region.
The colleges which were reopened almost after 10 days, witnessed enthusiasm among the students, who shouted slogans in favour of Indian Army and the Indian Air Force.
“This was only the trailer, picture Abhi Baaki Hai Mere Dost,” said a college student and lauded the armed forces and other sister concern agencies for their active role played in the air strikes.
“There was lot of anger among people after Pulwama terror attack in which 44 CRPF personnel were martyred and the reply was need of the hour,” said another College goer adding that India must carry on with such strikes and completely destroy all the terrorist camps and launching pads across the border.
The activists of Vishwa Hindu Parishad, (VHP) Bajrang Dal, Jammu West Assembly, Team Jammu, Shiv Sena also staged anti-Pakistan demonstrations shouting, ‘Pakistan Hai Hai’, ‘Pakistan Murdabad’ slogans.
They distributed sweets to the people to mark the victory of the Indian Army and the Indian Air Force.
Agitating activists said that it is ‘new India’ and it will befittingly reply to every terror activity being launched by the enemy.
“The Indian Army and the Indian Air Force has made us proud and we are proud citizens of the country,” they added.
BJP leaders and activists also held supporting programme to back Indian Army, Indian Air Force and Indian Navy saying that nation stands with its forces and they have avenged Pulwama attack in most befitting manner.
Warning political outfits like NC and PDP, they asked people of Kashmir not to get misled by their propaganda as heads of these parties will stay indoors making young boys and girls face ire.
Post air strikes Jammu and Kashmir Chief Secretary, BVR Subrahmanyam has urged people to be calm and not to believe rumours circulating on WhatsApp or other social media.
The J&K Pradesh Congress Committee has congratulated the IAF for the successful pre-emptive air strike against terrorist camps in PoK today.
JKPCC chief spokesman, Ravinder Sharma has saluted the bravery and valour of IAF pilots for carrying out highly successful operation and they deserve kudos for their brave action. The nation feels proud of our Armed forces. It is united against terror and to protect its integrity, he added.
PCC vice president and former Minister, Raman Bhalla has also complimented the Indian Air Force (IAF) and said the entire nation salutes the valour of Indian Air Force Pilots and jawans for this daring act. The nation feels proud of its brave armed forces of all three wings. He said entire country is united and stands behind the armed forces like a rock to provide them all logistic and moral support.
People’s Conference chairman Sajad Gani Lone today said the air strikes carried out by the Indian Air Force on terror camps in Pakistan will set a benchmark for deterrence and eventually end the cycle of violence.
“Pacifist to the core I am. But the reality as it stares in our faces is that this retaliatory action will actually be the start of the unlearning process for Pakistan. This will set the benchmark for deterrence. And eventually crowd out cycle of violence,” Lone said in a tweet.
He was reacting to the IAF air strikes in Pakistan in the wake of suicide car bombing attack on a CRPF convoy in Pulwama on 14 February that left 40 jawans dead.
Shiv Sena, Bala Sahib Thackrey State Unit also congratulated Indian Air Force for carrying out air strikes on terror launching pads in Pakistan. It said the operation by dozen Mirage 2000 jets destroyed terror camps in Balakot in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province of Pakistan. Dimpy Kohli State president, SS and its general secretary, Manish Sahni congratulated the Indian Air Force. They said revenge of Pulwama attack will not be completed till Masood Azhar, chief of Jaish-e-Mohammed is eliminated.
Shri Ram Sena (SRS) has also hailed the Indian Air Force for carrying out air strike on terror camps in Pakistan. In a statement, Ram Sena president, Rajiv Mahajan said that every Indian who has pain and anguish against the Pulwama terror attack in which 40 CRPF jawans attained martyrdom are greatly relieved and they feel delighted after destruction of terror camps in Pak by Indian Air Force.
Congratulating Union Government and especially Indian Air Force (AIF) for pre-emptive air strikes on terror camps in Pakistan, BJP general secretary, Yudhvir Sethi said those trying to undermine India’s military might or threaten it by issuing anti -India statements must desist from such statements.
Dogra Front- Shiv Sena, while hailing the IAF said entire nation is proud of their action and this courageous act. The workers of SS- DF under the leadership of its president, Ashok Gupta took out a rally in the city raising slogans in praise of Indian forces. They also took temple bells in their hands showing Pakistan how the celebration is made with ringing of bells.
Applauding Air Force for giving befitting reply to Pakistan, former MLA and NPP president, Balwant Singh Mankotia said that now the time has come to declare Pakistan a terrorist nation for permanent solution of terrorism.
Addressing a public meeting at Jib in Udhampur, Mankotia appreciated the decision of security forces and also demanded destruction of the left out terror camps in Pak.
Kashmiri Pandit Conference (KPC) while hailing the step taken by India termed it bold decision of Narendra Modi Government who showed his 56 inch chest to entire world on which some opposition parties were having doubts.
KPC, chief, Kundan Kashmiri said Modi has a divine power, capacity and capability to destroy India’s detractors once for all. He said entire nation is with Modi and Indian forces. He said attack on terror camps was appropriate action o avenge the terror attack on brave CRPF personnel in Pulwama by terrorists.
Sunil Dimple, president Jammu West Assembly Segment led a Tiranga and Vijay rally taken out by his party workers at Janipur High Court road here and hailed the action of India Air Force which destroyed terror camps in Pakistan.
Dimple appealed the three army chiefs to continue strike on Pak till liberation of PoJK which is under its illegal occupation.
Hailing the Indian action, BJP senior leader and MLC Vibodh Gupta said this is called 56 inch chest. He, while highly appreciating the action appealed the people of the State in general and border districts of Rajouri and Poonch in particular not to be panicky as there is no threat to any Indian citizen under the leadership of Narendra Modi.
Anna Hazare Anti-Corruption Movement (AHAM) , J&K congratulated the Indian Air Force for the successful air strike against the terrorist camps in Pakistan. While addressing a meeting of his organization here Tarun Upal, Core Committee member, AHAM said that India has struck the biggest camp of the Jaish-e-Mohammed in which more than 350 terrorists were killed by the Indian Air Force.
Enough chances were given to Pakistan in past but this coward nation was under estimating India Upal said, adding after the strike it is hoped that Pakistan will not raise its fingers against India.
To boost the morale of Indian forces a rally was held at Patoli Brahmana in which local people raised pro Indian forces slogans and prayed for long life of Prime Minster Narendra, Modi. Ex-Sarpanch, Nana Ji Raina while speaking said Modi has shown the world that Indian has capacity to retaliate and perish the enemy.
Welfare Society, Guru Nanak Nagar Jammu also applauded the Indian Air Force for successfully carrying out aerial strike on the terrorist camps in POJK. They reduced the safe heavens of dreaded terrorists into rubble and also killed over 350 terrorists including some Jaish outfit commanders, the Society said.
To celebrate the Air strike carried out by Indian Air Force on terrorist camps in Pakistan, the BJP activists held a rally at Janipur which was led by Corporator Ward 35, Yash Paul Mantoo. Mantoo, while speaking said Indian Government led by Narendra Modi has not only avenged the Pulwama terrorist attack on brave CRPF personnel but shown entire world that it will not let any one to see with an ugly eye towards our nation.
Congratulating the Government, especially Indian Air Force (IAF) for pre-emptive air strikes in Pakistan targeting terror camps of Jaish-e- Mohammed, Nationalist Democratic Party (NDP), State president, Rajesh Gupta said those trying to undermine India’s military might or threaten it by issuing anti-India statements must desist from their dictions.
Pakistan got the treatment it deserved for its support terrorists. Stronger India led by strongest leader has proved to the world that it is life threatening to mess with India and to play with lives of Indians. Justice delivered to militants inside Pakistan will ensure that Pulwama like incidents will not happen in future, said State Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), chief Spokesperson Sunil Sethi.
He said that its proud moment for all Indians that Indian might had been on full display in punishing perpetrators of crime against humanity. Pakistan has been taught in the language it understands and message must have gone loud and clear to it that no nonsense will be tolerated by India anymore.
NC Working president, M K Yogi while commenting on Indian Air strikes said that Pakistan should understand that breeding terrorism on its soil and waging a proxy will prove costly for it. He said despite provocation over the years India made lot of restraint and provided many chances to Pak to mend its ways, but unfortunately Pak never understood the language of peace forcing India to retaliate.
Arya Pratinidhi Sabah Jammu and Kashmir along with its executive members under the presidentship of Arun Choudhary expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi and valor of Armed Forces especially the Indian Air Force for accomplishing an intrepid and daredevil task by decimating the terrorists camps in Pakistan, thus, avenging the martyrdom of 44 warriors of CRPF. The executive members present in the meeting included Arun Gupta, Arun Arya, Rajive Sethi, Sh Balwan Singh, Yogesh Gupta, Nischint Khana and others.
