JAMMU, Oct 13: Jodhamal Public School had sent a delegation of 13 students and 2 teachers to the Prestigious Welham Boys School Dehradun to participate at the WELMUN.
Welham School Model United Nations Conference witnessed its 11th session this year and Jodhamal being the first timer at Welham Boys made a very good impact on all by winning one Best Delegation Trophy and three Verbal Commendations in the very first participation.
Jodhamal had it’s delegates involved in 13 different committees from regional to international agenda covering a range of time period.
Most of the Elite Schools from India and abroad were a part of this Conference and Jodhamal was appreciated by one and all equivocally for the spirit with which they participated and the research they did before going in for this. Among the eminent schools were Modern Barakhambha, Vasant Valley, Mayo Boys, Welham Girls, Welham Boys, Delli College Indore, Indian High School and many more.
Vidur Kumar of Jodhamal was adjudged the Best Delegate and Diya Rana, Shrija Jhinkwan and Dhwani Gupta were awarded the Verbal Commendation. Kartikeya Singh, Chaitley Sharma, Atima Bakshi, Asess Kaur, Yavar Qureshi, Anahita Anand, Razeem Haneef, Saba Jamwal and Manaswini Oswal also made a mark in their respective committee.
Each delegate from Jodhamal got highly recognized and was appreciated for the kind of arguments they presented and the way they got their resolutions passed. The Chair was very happy and had given a special invitation to JMPS in advance for the Next WELMUN.
Faculty Advisor Pratibha Sapori was appreciated by the Principal Trilok Singh Bist for the way she prepared her students and took them to Dehradun and brought laurels for the school.
All the MUNers were also felicitated in the special assembly and the delegates shared their experiences in the assembly for others to get inspired. Saba Jamwals reports were presented in the local papers too there at Dehradun and in the Welham Journals as well.
Principal also appreciated the assistant transport manager Sarjeen Chowdhary who escorted the Delegation and took special care of the student’s stay and food arrangements at Dehradun.
