JAMMU, Oct 13: J&K High Court Staff Welfare Association (Non-Gazetted) today formed its working body till holding of general elections.
A handout said that vide notification dated October 6, 2016 J&K High Court Staff Welfare Association was dissolved and officers bearers demitted their respective officers. Accordingly, Altaf Hussain Khan, Head Assistant and Mukhtar Ahmad, Photo Assistant were appointed as Acting President and Acting General Secretary respectively till the fresh elections of the Association.
However, it was felt that due to ongoing situation in Kashmir valley the general election cannot be conducted. Accordingly, it was decided that fresh elections will be held as soon as situation in Kashmir valley becomes normal.
Till then, the working body of the Association has been constituted to perform its duties.
In the main wing of the Association, Shahjee Bhat, Nasir Ali and Mohammad Shafi have been made Acting Members while as in the Srinagar Wing, Bashir Ahmad Baig has been made Acting Vice-President and Ghulam Rasool, Shakeel Ahmad and nazir Ahmad Hamdani as Acting Members.
Similarly, in Jammu Wing, Praveen Singh has been made Acting Vice-President and Sham Lal, Sunil Kumar and Mohammad Aslam as Acting Members.
