Sir,
This has reference to the statement of Minister for Higher Education, Mohammad Akbar Lone in which he stated that Government was going to start viable and job oriented courses in the colleges across the State enabling more and more educated youth to get employment.
The introduction of job oriented courses in colleges educational institutions of the State is need of the hour. Rather we are late in taking these steps. Such a step should have been taken a decade ago. By this time, the educational scenario would have been quite different. However better late than never.
There is acute shortage of skilled man power in India. There are many fields where demand for skilled manpower is growing day by day. There are reports that threre is a significant number of departments where there is an absolute necessity of skilled man power.
It is quite disappointing that in the Indian education system, the education is not given with some skill or career prospective in mind and that is where the problem begins to occur. Most of the companies that hire employees spend time and money in training them first, which itself is a major hinderance in the field of employment. It is expected that the Higher Education Department will pursue the case earnestly and see it comes to fruitition at the earliest.
Yours etc….
