Addressing a press conference, Shuja Zaffar, chairman of JMF said as PAGD leaders have been invited by the PM for talks on June 24, they should also raise the issue with PM. The release of all political prisoners is imperative to create an atmosphere of good will, he said, adding, “Bonding, dialogue and share care understanding with open heart and mind leads societies to success.
Besides restoration talks, Zaffar also requested the PAGD leaders to take up the issue of rising unemployment in J&K and need of creating employment generating industries and giving booster dose to our domestic industries like paper, shawl, wood carving, carpet weaving, silk industry, etc to tackle unemployment and generating revenue, with the PM.
The Leadership of front appealed to political stalwarts to work for the upliftment of J&K and discuss peace initiatives with the PM. “Enough time has gone wasted already. Our resources which could have bought prosperity were swindled by Pakistan creating economic corridor,” the leaders said, adding, it is high time that we should work together to bring prosperity to our people.
The JMF leaders further suggested that Central Government should send a team of MPs to discuss issues of importance with Jammu Muslims, Dogras, Sikh and Christians, who were always neglected.
