JMC to improve infrastructure in Govt Primary Schools: Sanjay Baru

JAMMU, Feb 9: BJP senior leader and JMC councillor, Sanjay Kumar Baru along with local socio -political leaders today paid a surprise visit to Government Primary School Hazuribag in Ward-41.
During the visit he met with students and teachers, listened to the day-to-day issues faced by teachers and students in conducting the routine affairs of the school so that good quality education and facilities like proper and hygienic mid day meals, clean drinking water, playground activities and similar other activities could be carried on smoothly.
While talking to staff of the School, Sanjay Kumar Baru said that the BJP led Union Government under the leadership of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi is working for strengthening the grassroot governance in Jammu and Kashmir (UT) and committed to uplift the infrastructure at grassroot institutions.
Baru said that after the 74th amendment, the Government Primary Schools will be taken care of by JMC and the reorganization of JMC will lead to the increase in the desired manpower to serve the issues of such institutions well in time. He said that now the JMC will be more empowered to solve the public grievances according to their wishes.
He said that the funding of the JMC will be increased now which will lead to the improved functioning of the Corporation and its services.
He was informed by the teachers that the school imparts education to about 75 wards in just 2 rooms. He was also informed that the playground is deeper than the surroundings, which renders it unsafe especially during the rainy season and leaves no place for the children to play.
Sanjay Baru assured the school authorities that he would raise the level of the ground by filling it properly and also lay the ground tiles for the ease of the school authorities and the children. He also assured them that he will meet the concerned officials from the Education Department and will make sure that two more classrooms are constructed in the school.
He also said that he will also initiate the necessary action for the revised school committee soon for the welfare of the school.
Keshav Chopra, Jatin Sethi, Ashok Wazir, Chaman Lal Bhagat, Bhubesh Sharma, Jatinder Khajuria, Rakesh Sharma, Lokesh Bhagat, Babu Ram and others were the prominent persons present on the spot.
