It was led by Dr. Zaffar Iqbal, M.V.O / Zonal Officer (Sanitation Zone-II) JMC and other field staff of Jammu Municipal Corporation today.
During the drive the general public was also made aware about the harmful effects of using Polythene carry bags as the polythene never decompose like other waste material and due to non-decomposition it will have adverse effect on our surroundings. Besides fine of Rs. 4800/- has been realized from the defaulter/vendors using Polythene Carry Bags.
The Jammu Municipal Corporation once again appeals to the general public/ vendors/ shopkeepers not to use Polythene Carry bags. The Rehari owners are also asked to keep their reharies moveable as the stationary reharies are source of obstruction for the free flow of vehicular traffic and also cause inconvenience to the pedestrians.
