JMC holds review meeting regarding IHHL

JAMMU, Nov 18: A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of Commissioner JMC, Mandeep Kour regarding Individual House Hold Latrine (IHHL) Scheme under “Swachh Bharat Mission Urban” in JMC Complex here today.
A large number of Khidmat Centres of Jammu Urban area were also present in the meeting.
To make the scheme successful and in order to speed up the Work Ministry of Urban Development, Govt. of India  has opened one lakh service centres (CSCs) through M/S CSC e-governance services India Ltd. across the country to help in this task. In this scheme every household will get subsidy amount of Rs. 12000/- from Government of India and State Govt. for construction of latrine or for conversion from insanitary to sanitary latrines.
So far, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) has got more than 4000 forms through door to door campaign in different wards of Jammu city. JMC is using the services of Khidmat Centres for online filling of these forms.
Jammu Municipal Corporation appeals to all the general public at large to take advantage of the scheme under Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and contact nearest Khidmat centres/Common Service Centres. It is also informed that no payment needs to be paid by the applicants to the Khidmat centre. The payment on behalf of applicants for filling up application form will be paid by the Ministry of Urban Development, Govt. of India to the Khidmat centers online for each and every applicant. While filling up online application form the applicants need to provide the details to CSC which include Passport size photograph, first page of Passbook of Bank Account and Identity Proof.
