JAMMU, Jan 30: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today dismantled un-authorized hoardings installed on the bund of Tawi River. The operation was carried out by Enforcement Wing of the Corporation.
In a statement issued here today JMC said, the Municipal Corporation Act, debars any person or agency from exhibiting or erecting advertisement within the territorial limits of the Corporation without its authorization. But due to repeated violations, the action was carried out to strictly enforce the provisions of the Act. Earlier also the Un-authorized Hoardings erected in the city were demolished, the hand out added.
JMC has once again appealed to the people not to erect any advertisement within its jurisdiction, as it will invite action under law.
