JMC Councillor takes stock of damage due to rainfall

JAMMU, July 12: Councillor of Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC), Pritam Singh takes stock of the damage caused by heavy rainfall in Ward 55.
Due to rainfall, Nallah in Ward 55 overflew and water accumulated in Deep Nagar, Shankar Colony, Shanti Nagar, new Shanti Nagar, Deeli and Sainik Colony Sector B, due to which huge damage was caused to the property there.
The Councillor visited various areas of Ward 55 and said that UEED recently constructed the Nallah spending Rs. 1.25 crore but the quality of work was not as per standards as bed of the Nallah was not laid properly neither the walls of the Nallah were raised to a safe height.
He claimed low quality work of Nallah as reason for havoc in the Ward due to rainfall.
Onkar Singh Jamwal, Neeraj Kumar, Ashu Mehra, Kashyap, Vijay, Vicky and other prominent citizens of the Ward were also present on the occasion.
