JAMMU, Feb 13: To check the quality of meat, Jammu Municipal Corporation conducted a surprise drive in Janipur, Muthi, Talab Tillo, Anand Nagar, Prem Nagar, Patta Paloura and other areas.
During the surprise drive, various meat shops were checked and a fine of Rs 2200 was realized from those who were hanging meat outside their shops or selling un-stamped meat.
During the said drive, the MVO also inaugurated Emu meat shop at CPO Chowk.
Pertinent to mention that Emu meat is good for heart as well as for sugar patients.
