JAMMU, Aug 31: A meeting of Jammu Kashmir United Teachers’ Federation (JKUTF) was held here today under the chairmanship of State president, Chodhary Mohd Iqbal to discuss and highlight their demands.
The meeting discussed various problems and demands of the teaching community including transfer policy of the education department, releasing of pending salary of ReTs, Masters and Headmasters working under SSA and RMSA for last eight months and filling up all vacant posts of Head Masters, Lecturers and Masters before imposition of code of conduct.
The speakers demanded the Government to release pending 10% DA from January 2014, enhancement of MA to Rs 1000 per month, Selection Grade for under Graduate teachers pending for many years and clear the pay anomalies of clerical staff and Master Grades.
