Srinagar, Apr 30: J&K United Movement (JKUM) President, Ishfaq Jabar, announced today that the party will conduct joint election campaigning in the district along with the Apni Party.
Speaking to media persons after a joint meeting of workers from both parties, Ishfaq emphasized their collaborative outreach to the people.
“We held a meeting of the election committee comprising selected workers to enhance the management of election campaigns in the district; we will campaign together and present our agenda to the people,” he remarked.
In addition to the workers, the meeting was attended by Apni Party’s Ghulam Hassan Mir and the party’s candidate for the Srinagar Lok Sabha constituency, Ashraf Mir.
During the gathering, senior leaders from both parties addressed the workers, with Ghulam Hassan Mir prominently presenting the agenda and vision of his party.
“We seek a path for our youth that shields them from bullets,” he expressed, acknowledging Ishfaq for his unwavering support.
In his address, JKUM President urged the workers to set aside personal interests and differences and “ensure Ashraf Mir’s success in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.”
It is noteworthy that JKUM, after contemplating fielding its candidate for the upcoming elections, decided instead to support Apni Party’s candidate to prevent the “division of votes.”
