JKTMA highlights demands, issues of teachers

UDHAMPUR, Jan 23: Monthly meeting of Jammu & Kashmir Teacher/Master Association (JKTMA) was held, here today under the presidium of State President Rakesh Singh, Vice President Vikram Gupta and General Secretary Vivek Gupta to discuss the burning issues of teachers, most important of which is ATD-2021 of left out districts and DPC of different cadre of teaching community.
While speaking, Rakesh Singh urged the Government to publish ATD 2021 of left out districts within week to give sigh of relief to the teachers, particularly of hard zone Teachers. Singh also served ultimatum to concerned authorities to fill all vacant posts of Lecturers through 100 percent DPC by excluding Distance degree holders in Science stream as per SRO 339. “Otherwise Association will be forced to launch UT wise agitation,” he warned.
Vikram Gupta, State Vice president, demanded to release first and second installment of GPF of NPS subscribers as the same is not released by many DDOs till date due to reasons best known to them.
Vivek Gupta, State General Secretary, said that confirmation order issued by higher authorities should be implemented by all DDOs and confirm the services of all teachers who fall within the ambit of this confirmation order.
State Chief Coordinator Ajay Kumar urged the SPD Samagra Shiksha J&K to implement order of replacement of all MDM Incharge who completed tenure of three years on rotation basis.
Jaisheel Verma strongly demanded to make rule that no Annual Increment of DDOs shall be released until they give declaration that “they have issued Annual GPF statement to all their subordinate staff” in order to avoid unnecessary harassment of Teachers to obtain GPF statement from office.
Other demands raised by the Association, included; solving issue of pay anomaly of 2009 batch teachers and regularisation of post of Head Teachers to regularise their salary from their own post.
