JKTMA flays authorities for not adhering to transfer policy

UDHAMPUR, June 17: Jammu Kashmir Teachers/Master Association (JKTMA ) today flayed the Education Department authorities for violating their own orders and policies on transfers.
While addressing a press conference, here today, JKTMA State President Rakesh Singh said that as per transfer policy, a Teacher cannot remain in same school maximum for more than 3 years whereas that even after the lapse of 4 years, Teachers are not being transferred due to which there was a huge resentment among teaching community.
He urged Director School Education Jammu to take necessary steps for transfer of Teachers as per guidelines of transfer policy on rotational basis .
State vice president Vikram Gupta, who was also present on the occasion, demanded TA in favour of Teachers for the month of May 2020 as they were engaged for the said period for house to house distribution of home assignments and dry rice under MDM scheme.
State general secretary Vivek Gupta urged Principal Secretary, School Education Department, Dr Asgar Samoon to update seniority list of Teachers and Masters and expedite the process of DPC to fill vacant posts as early as possible for the welfare of students.
Rakesh Singh also urged District Election officer Udhampur to release TA in favour of BLOs for the month of May 2020 as they have conducted house to house survey during this month under Swasthya Nidhi App.
