JKTMA demands DPC of Teachers, Masters on fast track basis

JAMMU, Apr 10: Monthly meeting of Jammu Kashmir Teacher/Master Association (JKTMA) was held here today under the chairmanship of State President Rakesh Singh to discuss the burning issues of Teachers/Masters, particularly the regularization of posts of SSA Head Teachers and DPC of Teachers/Masters on fast track basis.
Singh, while speaking on the occasion, said that most of the DPCs conducted recently were of Gazzetted cadre only and no DPC of Teachers and Masters has been done for long time which has created stagnation in the cadres and also frustration among the non-gazzetted cadres. He appealed the Department to fill all vacant posts of Lectures by 100 percent DPC on one time exemption basis as per decision of State Administrative Council and regularise all SSA Plan head Teachers.
Singh also urged the Government to introduce subject Biotechnology in atleast 5 HSS of each 20 Districts keeping it view the aspirations of thousands of students, as large number of students approached the association to project their demand to higher authorities for the same .
Rakesh Singh welcomed the decision of Govt to amend leave rules by including “single male employee” which was the long pending demand of the association. He also urged Principal Secretary School Education, B K Singh to make rule that no DDO will be given annual increment unless they give certificate to DSEJ through their immediate controlling officer that they have issued GPF statement and also updated ACR to every sub ordinate employee. “This is necessary to avoid unnecessary harassment of Teachers to obtain the same,” he said.
JKTMA leader said that list of newly created Zones should be issued at the earliest for administrative convenience. Association alleged that some DDOs were not crediting the GPF installments to NPS subscribers and this should be dealt strictly by higher authorities. Singh urged Lieutenant Governor to accord VIP status to the teachers and ensure that there should be chair in every Govt offices for the teachers, who are nation builders.
Other demands raised by the Association, included fixing seniority of teachers on basis of date of passing PG, clubbing of schools with low enrollment and rationalization of Teachers as per PTR.
