JKTJAC deputation meets Principal Secy School Edu, submits charter of demands

JAMMU, Nov 30: A deputation of Jammu Kashmir Teachers’ Joint Action Committee (JKTJAC) today met Principal Secretary School Education Alok Kumar in his office chamber in Civil Secretariat Jammu and submitted a charter of demands.
During the meeting with Principal Secretary, the delegation led by JKTJAC president Vinod Sharma raised the burning and genuine issues of the teaching fraternity and sought their early resolution.
The main issues raised during the meeting included provision of comprehensive transfer policy in favour of teachers appointed under ReT scheme who have been working in the same schools for last more than 20 years, incentives to teachers serving in far flung areas and allocation of substantive posts to the teachers Grade II as per their seniority as per Government Order Number 20 Education of 2019 Dated 22-01-2019 as the same is not done in Jammu Province.
The delegation also demanded that mutual transfer cases of 3rd teachers, ReTs appointed under Order Number 635 and ReTs appointed under clear vacancies be considered till comprehensive transfer policy is framed for ReT teachers. Filling of posts of ZEOs in headless zones of Jammu province and conducting DPC of teachers to masters were also demanded.
Other issues taken up with the Principal Secretary were conversion of head teacher posts into non-plan posts of masters to resolve the salary issue of the masters, provision of release of more than two years arrears of teachers/masters and sanctioning of posts (Headmasters) and other staff in hanging high schools upgraded under RAMSA during 2014 and onwards.
Alok Kumar gave a patient hearing to the deputation and assured to redress each and every issue raised by the JKTJAC leadership at the earliest.
Others who were part of the deputation include Naresh Sharma (UT chief spoke person), Rajesh Jamwal (provincial president), Surinder Singh( district president Jammu), Sandeep Sharma and Sanjay Mehta.
