SRINAGAR, July 4: The Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Forum (JKTF) led by Abdul Qayoom Wani today gave a call for ‘Secretariat Chalo’ on July 16 in support of their demands.
A spokesman of JKTF said that the call was given during a meeting chaired by Wani. He alleged that the State Government has turned a blind eye towards the demands of the Rehbar-e-Taleem (ReT) teachers, Education Volunteers and migrant substitute teachers.
The spokesman said that the teachers would assemble at the Khalsa High School here and from where a peaceful march would be carried towards the Civil Secretariat. He said the Government should fulfill the demands at the earliest adding the failure in this regard would force the JKTF to launch an agitation thereafter. He said the Government would be responsible for the consequences thereof.
